WEEKEND POEM.

Weekends, oh how we adore
The time to rest, to laugh and explore
Two days of freedom from the daily grind
To leave our worries far behind

We wake up late, with no alarm
And make plans, free from any qualm
Brunch with friends, a hike in the woods
Or simply lounging in our hoods

Weekends are for catching up on sleep
And for memories that we'll keep
For lazy mornings and active afternoons
And for enjoying the simple tunes

Weekends are for family and fun
For adventures that have just begun
For making memories that will last
Weekends, they go by so fast

But as Monday looms on the horizon
We hold on tight, not wanting to be done
For the weekends are the shining light
In the midst of a long workweek fight.
