From the 27th February 2025, splinterlands battle will be a survival of the fittest. This is because summoners and monsters will act like energy.
The moment a monster dies, it requires a specific period of time for such monsters to be available for battle.
Players with max cards will enjoy this present format, because they don't need to wait for a longer period for their cards to be available to use.
For instance, it takes 72 hours for a max epic card to be used again after it dies; and it takes 10 days for a Base Epic card to be available to use.
In this new era, a new splinterlands format, any player that is ready to face everything will surely rise or win, while any player that runs away due to the new format will lose.
How can one rise and win in the new format?
Be skillful: one of the best ways to rise in this new format is to be skillful.
How can one be skillful?
Be calculative when selecting monsters and summoners: This simply means as you are preparing to fight with someone you don't know his/her skills level, you have to use your best monsters and summoners. You have to use your best method in any battle.
I have used level 2 summoner to win level 6 players; this was because I was very calculative when I was selecting my summoner and monsters.
Use the training ground to practice: it is advisable to use the training ground to practice, that is one of the advantages of the training ground.
While Using training ground, use a summoner and monsters that are higher than your cards. This will help you to learn strategies one can implore to defeat an opponent that uses monsters and summoners with higher levels.
I have been using the trading ground to practice for days now; and I have been using ghost cards to practice it.
I understood how hard it is to play in the champion league and the reason they should be rewarded well.
Get good cards: having the best cards is one of the factors that can make one win battles in this survival mode. If you don't have good cards, such a player may end up not getting anything. This is because such a player uses base cards, and if the cards die, it takes more days to cooldown. Since splinterlands is a card game; and without cards, one cannot play.
Learn the rules of the battles: when a player understands the rules of the battles, it will not be difficult for such a player to pick the best monsters for the battle. The moment I see ‘back to basic’ rule, I knew the best monsters to use; and I always win such battles.
The significant changes that create unique and interesting gameplay experience are:
Energy - without energy one cannot play the previous splinterlands. One energy requires an hour; that is the reason whenever I exhausted my energy, it took 24 hours to get 24 energy.
Therefore, without energy, a player cannot play ranked battles.
But in the survival mode which is the present format, there is no more energy.
Cooldown period for death cards- when a card dies, it will not be used for specific periods of time. For instance if a common card dies it will enter a cooldown period of 15 days but if the common card is max, it will take five days before the owner can use it in battles. This cooldown period applies to all battles- tournament, Brawl and Ranked battles.
I'm just happy for players that have a set of cards. For instance, I have gold foil on some cards and also common, rare and epic of the same cards. By the time the gold foil is dead, I can use the other one of the same card.
There are players that are lucky to have many of these monsters in their collection.
