Taking a Step Back to be Thankful!

It’s almost the end of 2023, and the world continues to be a crazy place. There are many reasons to be optimistic for the future and many reasons to be pessimistic. With almost every holiday shrouded in controversy, even Thanksgiving is up for no longer being celebrated.

When people question a holiday like Thanksgiving, they are missing the point…The point is to take 5 seconds to stop being unhappy and to think of something to be thankful for. Everyone can find things to be thankful for, and conversely, everyone can find things that make them miserable.

Not everyone has a perfect life but not all grass is greener on the other side. It seems to be natural to focus on what we don’t have and to always want more resources. Having more resources does make life easier and more comfortable but it does not bring happiness. Happiness is one of the few things in life we cannot buy and the road to happiness is long and fleeting.

There is not a perfect formula for how to be happy, but there are still things you can do to be happier. One of the easiest things you do to be happier is to be thankful.

Life has been coming at me fast lately, I’ve taken up a new job that is more demanding, the newest addition of a son to the family continues to bring new challenges, my bitcoin acquisition strategy is going well but the volatility is stressful, and my small Hive projects continue to grow even though I don’t have the same time to commit to them as I once did.

These all seem like stressors, maybe they are LOL, but they are also things that I am thankful for and things that give my life purpose.

I am thankful for a new job that has more meaningful work. I am thankful for my baby boy which has changed my threshold for happiness in a way I can’t describe, I am thankful for my Bitcoin related investments, and I am thankful towards the Hive community for helping me on my Web 3.0 journey.

Hive continues to be an amazing place filled with amazing people. Here is to being thankful and helping spread those good vibes with people across this wonderful ecosystem.
