The Beauty Of Writing Down Your Goals.

Have you ever written stuffs down and regretted writing them down? Just because you never accomplished them? The annoying aspect of writing down goals and not achieving them is the awareness that you did not achieve them. That consciousness alone is very disheartening especially when you keep seeing how the goals were beautifully written down by the author, which is you.

But hey, don't be discouraged about writing down your goals or plans, don't be like my friend who has no idea of what she wants because she can't really remember them. In as much as you don't accomplish your goals does not underestimate the power of written goals.

Importance of Writing

Firstly, Writing does a whole lot of good and I can't seem to imagine any disadvantage in writing only if it is jeopardizing your listening ability. Writing helps you to remember the tasks ahead or the goals you hope to accomplish. Many people only write down their goals only when it's a new year, they tag it as a new year resolution and afterwards, they never write again. Not minding that yearly plans are broken down to months and months are broken down to weeks then days, to hours and finally to minutes. Every step is like a target for the achievement of your major goal and every target needs to be planned. Who plans things without writing materials? I guess I haven't tried that before.

Secondly, it puts you in a disciplinary box. I was scrolling through my note book to search for an information I saved, unfortunately, I saw my week goals staring at me, pleading for attention. Why do I call it unfortunate? Because it is just hard for man to follow a list of instructions, especially one written by you and not your angry boss. However, I had to discipline myself to undergo the tasks(we all need to have discipline) But hey, if I haven't noted it, how will I remember or even know? That is the power of writing .

Thirdly, Writing your task helps you to think effectively. I know every one who blogs on hive think before writing. Thinking about your tasks is even much more effective because your brain circuits are channeling your schedules in the best possible ways. You become more deliberate, specific and rational in handling situations.

Fourthly, you become a time maximizer. We all know how the day goes without a plan. When we don't write these goals down, we start our day going through all kinds of social media platforms, and finally when we manage to get our eyes off our phones, we notice is dark. The solution here is to write these goals a day before and paste them right on the wall to serve as a quick reminder of deadlines. If these goals where not written, how will you be able to remember in order for you to use your time efficiently and also, effectively?

The beauty of writing is thinking what to write and getting reminded by it. It gives us memories of the tasks and goals we accomplished in the past which makes it much more captivating. Start your day with a book and pen beside while you wake, write your possible goals down, and like I always say writing down your goals or using the Pareto 80/20 principle will not achieve your tasks only if you are willing, all other things are secondary factors that will guide you through.

Where is your pen?
