Gaming experience;casual and simple versus hyper realistic

The first time I played this game "super mario",back then the graphics were somehow,,the colors have limits and the characters are not so/that lifelike. But even with thosr limitations, then it was the best and very fun to play.as things are not as evolved as now. Fast forward to today and now the video game industry now has come a long way in term of graphics.Games like "call of duty, assassin creed, the last of us,to talk of GTA(grand theft auto),GTA san Andres," and the likes, these ones boast of hyperrealistic graphics that are almost non differentiable from real life. But now,the question is do we really need games to be this/so realistic?

I have to admit that I am elated, and proud with the level of well detailed realities in modern games. Playing a game like GTA for example, is like being in a world. The character facial expressions the environments, the thugs, the cars, the beach, the taxis, hospital and even to the smallest details like the rust on a old car,the accidents, burns and all are all so crafted that it's hard not to feel like you're right there in the game,at the same time i appreciate games that don't necessarily strive for that "realism", take games like" make watermelon, word cookies, water color sort and the likes for example, including"drop the number"this games even with the absence of the hyper realistic stuffs, tends to be very fun to play and most times tend to be educative, they help us think thereby sharpening the brain.g

A simple game like "ludo", "drop the number" are endearing, the game is all about calculations, you calculate and take veey careful steps in dropping your numbers,i have spent countless hours playing this game and despite the game simple graphics I never felt like I'm missing out on anything. In fact its simplicity is it's appeal.

On the other hand, games like GTA,Assassin creed, with very great graphics helps it play a huge role in drawing the player. The game's graphics are really very well detailed, with realistic environments, characters and effects and the graphics play a huge role in creating and making it a wonderful one.

Back to the question "do we really need games to be this realistic?" To me the answer is no,whhile hyperrealistic graphics can certainly enhance the "gaming"experience, they are not essential nor mcessary for a game to be enjoyable. In fact some games with their simplicity are very addictive and catchy and really very much fun to play.
As some tend to challenge your reasoning, intellect and all.

While hyperrealistic graphics can really help enhance the gaming experience they are definitely not the only thing that matters, everything, every little thing is important. And sometimes simplicity can be just as effective as complexity.I really appreciate games that push ther boundaries of possibility in terms of graphics and at the same time I appreciate games that don't necessarily lr really strive for being realistic.
