Whatsapp is no doubt a very popular messaging app which is acquired by Facebook now. It does not feature any ads yet but we all know nothing is free on internet, so these tech giants make profit by selling user data to advertisers.

There are so many privacy concern whenever using Whatsapp. Even if you make private groups then they might show in phone search. Session is new open-source app which is fork of Signal.

This app does have some unique points like you don't need a number to get yourself register on it. You session is obviously end-to-end encrypted by default.

So how identity will work on this app if no phones numbers. Its pretty simple. Whenever you want to make new account, this account will create unique hash number just for you and you can share it with your friends. This will be a long number and it can be scanned.

Whats more unique is that is operates on a blockchain, known as Loki blockchain. Furthermore, onion routing makes it possible to leave no digital footprint online making it more private and secure for everyone.

Its server will be spread throughout the globe with no center point so it will be more difficult for governments to ban this app. These features are already making me excited to use this app permeability.
