Totally agree. I admit that I do suffer from these bad habits sometimes.. I guess we can only try to be as objective as possible but human beings will always have a certain level of emotion or perhaps ego.

We all do! It's just part of the path. As you said yourself, we as humans have a certain level of emotion. Investing is very personal because it is your money on the line. It's a constant battle of wits with your own ego; sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. 🙂
But being honest with ourselves goes a long way and makes a big difference. In all things, not just investing!
