Yuppers. This happens on several cards. Nothing really happens between one level and the next. Specifically, for the chicken, I think it's because it's a zero mana reward and shouldn't be too powerful. 😉 But... I generally just hold the cards and only level up once I hit the level I want. This way I can potentially sell or burn individual cards if I wanna.

Lol, I always watch them all in high speed. I mean time is precious, don't want to spend too many minutes watching getting slaughtered, right? :) Because that happens a lot as well lol.
I spotted a few more of these "chickens" but when I notice I just mention as sometimes I also noticed it gets changed later on. But you are right, it's just a chicky chicken.. lol
