Tiktok just got banned in the United States. The US government has decided to include Tiktok into the ban list. This is big because US has over 170 million TikTok users and over 7 million American businesses rely on TikTok. This situation shows us the fragility of digital livelihoods and how people on such websites are kind of dependent on the platform and desperately need personal branding to get free of this Loop.
TikTok created an economy where millions of people can make a million dollars just by creating content but their entire business model depends on platforms which they have zero control.
So how can you stay safe from this digital rat race?
We need to practice practicality to economic opportunity. This means we need to be practical with our content and as to which platforms offers you the best opportunity and the best reward.
We need to take social platforms as critical infrastructure which will enable us to reach newer heights and once we reach the target stage we need to difurcate ourselves into other platforms.
Most importantly you need to protect your businesses and individuals who are critical towards your content and make sure there is no external pressure which would make you lose everything overnight.
So what do you think about the TikTok Ban?
I would love to hear what are your thoughts on this and share them in the comments below.
