Shing Praise and Fonye Conrad from Bright Light Projects (BLP) Cameroon visited The Greens office yesterday to discuss the future of environmentalism in the North West Region of Cameroon.

The focus of the partnership discussion centered around waste management and the reforestation of the Bamenda Highlands. For waste management, we agreed to continue collaborating on the mobilization and financing of plastic removal and recycling from the Mulang Wetland. We also resolved to advocate for the local communities to stop disposing of plastics in the waterways to prevent further pollution.

The Greens committed to participating in a waste management documentary to be produced by Bright Light Projects.

At the end of the coffee talk and partnership discussion, both organizations agreed to collaborate with the community on further plastic removal from the Mulang Wetland on Monday, July 29.

To close the day, we had an insightful review and recording of the impact of the crisis on The Greens' activities and the organization's adaptation strategies. This will be presented in a research paper to be published by Shing Praise.
