I enjoy watching cartoons and animations in my spare time and was delighted after my cousin introduced me to the anime, Naruto. Before my acquaintance with this anime, I had not come across any like it that piqued my interest. Intrigued by its unique and interesting storyline, I immersed myself in the Naruto series, watching it consistently until it came to an end. After the series concluded, I attempted to watch others that were recommended to me by friends but found them uninteresting. Consequently, I avoided watching anime for a long time.

However, my outlook changed after I had an interesting experience some years ago. While surfing the Internet and exploring various social media platforms, I observed that content in the form of videos and written reviews about the anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, was widespread. The anime's apparent popularity caught my attention, causing me to have an urge to learn more about it, but for some unknown reason, I never did. My reluctant attitude later changed after I watched the sensational, emotional, and explosive fight between the Fire Hashira, Rengoku, and Akaza, the Upper-Rank Three Demon by chance. I was mesmerised by this intriguing duel from the anime's critically acclaimed movie, Mugen Train.

Tanjiro, the leading protagonist in Demon Slayer

After watching this fight on YouTube, I became convinced that Demon Slayer might live up to the hype it had generated on social media and might be worth watching. Bearing this thought in mind, I proceeded to watch the anime but ended up doing so in an unconventional way. I got to see the second season of Demon Slayer before the first because it was downloaded and saved on the storage device connected to our TV in the living room. After I began watching the anime, I was impressed by the quality of its content as it exceeded my expectations. I also enjoyed the anime's storyline, which revolved around the struggle for survival between humans and demons and was set in a historical period in Japan.

Gyutaro's performance as a villain in Demon Slayer was exceptional

The anime also had interesting characters like Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tengen from the Demon Slayer Corps, who were a delight to watch. The villain in the second season of the anime series, Gyutaro, was also outstanding. His fights against the demon slayers, especially Tengen, were phenomenal. The pleasure I got after watching the second season of Demon Slayer prompted me to go back and watch the first season and its beloved movie, Mugen Train, to enable me to get a better understanding of the anime's background story. Both instalments turned out to be as entertaining as the second season of the anime that I had watched earlier, further raising my excitement and anticipation for the third season that was to follow.

The Mist Hashira, Muichiro

The third season released during the first quarter of this year got anime lovers, including me, excited and prepared to continue the amazing journey we had embarked on with the earlier instalments. The display of enthusiasm from the anime's audience worldwide was extraordinary. Unfortunately, this highly anticipated season ended up being less thrilling than I had imagined. I had hoped to see more action and breathtaking combat from characters like Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, Mitsuri, and, most especially Muichiro, the Mist Hashira, who was the focus of the show. Nevertheless, it still had some elements such as the intense battles, captivating storylines, and spectacular soundtracks that Demon Slayer has come to be known for. Overall, the anime is a highly enjoyable show.

Thanks for reading,
Have a splendid day folks.
