Music is a universal language, a medicine to the soul, and an easy medium to relish the moment, entertain oneself, and several others, to name but a few. Through the years, music has been widely accepted and loved by many, including me, because of each's uniqueness and how they resonate with my mood at the time, but then, with time, we've come to see some music deviate from being a carrier of good messages via their lyrics to one that carries vulgar language and promotes improper, immoral acts that are not appropriate to be aired in public places, and these lead to songs being sensored or banned depending on how bad such is perceived to be.
Being a lover of music, on a norm, I won't buy the ideal of music being sensored because of the loads of benefits I've derived from it. I mean, depending on my mood, there's always a song I can play that'll resonate with it and keep me going, be it love, heartbreak, joyful, sad, angry, faith, and the like. Music just has it all, and their lyrics can be so touching and enchanting, with the ability to transit you onto your desired realm.
Unfortunately, despite how relatable music is and the power messages it carries, the music world has been infiltrated by some uncultured people who's main desire is probably to stand out or influence society in a negative way for their own self-interests for fame and wealth. While some of these songs could still be allowed, I think them being sensored and confined to being played in selected places is the best approach to dealing with them.
Some of these songs I'm talking about have lyrics that carry messages that are deemed inappropriate for the public or foreign kids to listen to, and yet when you walk through the street, given the widespread way they are allowed to be played, some kids even know the lyrics from the beginning till the very end, despite some of these songs promoting violence, crime, sexism, masturbations, cybercrime, ritualism, and the like.
You can imagine kids of around 2 to 15 already know what masturbations are, all thanks to some songs they listen to. I've never been a fan of a musician like Naira Marley, and when he sang the song Sopi, I was literally angry because the songs not only preach the message of masturbations, but the dance steps in the songs also display how the act is done, leading to it influencing our community negatively.
Same is the case with some songs that I hear nowadays, that hype cyber criminals sing their praises and ridicule others doing legis job; it's just the wrong kid of things we should have to listen to, and that's why I won't be mad if such songs ended up being banned or outright banned. I personally would even front the movement in opposing the right for such songs to be allowed in our world.
The world is already corrupt; what we need are ways to flush out the bad egg from the system, not give room for more to be pushed in through music or other means; it'll just end up destroying our world, to the point that if it isn't stopped, we'll arrive at a point in time where we won't have any atom of what's morally right or wrong again in our world.

For real, it’s sad but then, when I see these things I’m only reminded that God’s words are indeed truth. Because, whenever you find something good, search well and you will see evil trying to show off its head.
But like you said, music is a therapy for a lot of people. Even those songs that are not good, to some people they still find solace in them.
You've said it all, despite how bad they're, some people still resonate with it, maybe it should be confined for them alone than allowed to pollute everyone else.
Yeah? But too bad that will not happen. 🥲
