Life is stressful, life is not easy to deal with. It's okay to get angry sometimes, to show our anxious self. But we need to learn to calm ourselves down. Maybe it happens to you several times that you failed to calm yourself down for different reasons. You have to approve that it's not a healthy practice.
So, today I'm gonna share some of the tricks I usually try to follow when I feel I need to calm down. But before that, we have to come to the point to understand that we are angry. So the first step is probably, Approving that we are angry and we need to calm down.
To calm ourselves down, we first need to breath. There's nothing more beneficial than taking a little break from your anger. If you are quarreling, yelling and feeling in the deep that you are overreacting, then just stop it for a while in the middle of that. It may sound crazy but as long as you don't do this, you will never know how helpful it. Breathing just reduces half of the anger in a few seconds.
We need to find out some other ways to release our anger. Holding our anger is not a healthy practice at all. So you can sit with the person, have your logic on the table and talk. It's okay to show the anger sometimes but doesn't overreact. Calm yourself down when it's necessary.
It's like a practice that needs time. It will work like an alarm which will remind you that you need to calm down. And listen to that alarm. When you are angry as hell, just breath, sit back, think and relax. Change your focus and say you can deal with it better.
