Slowing down comes with different intentional efforts to be mindful and enjoy every bit of life. Rushing one task to another reduces the scope to do that. That's when our intentional effort is necessary. Today I'm gonna share how to be intentionally slow throughout our day with some mindful activities.
Noticing our surroundings is the one best thing we can help us out. It's like noticing, appreciating and savoring every little thing in life, even if it's a cup of coffee or tea as you drink it. Taking our time to be mindful has its own benefits. Instead of checking notifications or thinking about our next tasks, it helps to appreciate our present.
Don't rush early in the morning. Wake up at least sometime before your usual time. Rushing from early in the morning starts a chain that is difficult to break. So it's better to start the day slow, intentionally. It will make the morning more enjoyable and meaningful. And thus will create a relaxing impression.
Reduce your to-do list. I know it's not always possible. But allow yourself to miss something from the list. Or try to cross with another task to reduce the time. It will give you some more time to relax later. Prioritize your tasks and don't stress out to meet everything. It's okay sometimes, to not meet our to-do list.
Taking thoughtful rest is necessary as we don't get time for automatic rest these days. So, incorporating these simple but helpful activities are must need. So, take your time how you can do it better to enjoy your life more.
I tried to follow my to-to-list couple of times. But every time I couldn't follow more than 1 week.
