Hey all, been very busy last couple of days at work, so I have not had the time to write the Race recap for Zwift World Racing League last tuesday.

This was the first of 6 races in round three for me and my team [DBR]Hailstorm.

We have done quite good in the first 2 rounds, ending in 3rd place in round one and 2nd place in round 2.

Tuesday race was a Team Trial race (TTT) and was 30,9 km long with 143,9m elevation. So quite flat route that suits TTT race well, but with one KOM underway after 4 km for 1,3 km and 3,1% avg incline.
In the TTT races then it is all about gettin 4 riders together over the goal line as the team result is based on the finishing time of the 4th rider of the team.

Looking at the lineups then we knew that the teams to look out for were Team CLS, SRT and Team Velos Feathers, that have been in the top 4 with us in the first two rounds. There were 10 teams ready on the goal line to race.

We took off with a full team of 6, but unfortunately there have been some injuries and such lately so one of our team members fell off already on the Jarvis KOM after 4 km, and the second had to fall off after around 9 km. So we were 4 guys left to pull the last 20+ km, or really we were 3 that rotated with taking the lead and pull for the last 15 km. to ensure the 4th team member could hang on and clear the finish line with us.

After we were around 20 km. in then we could see that we had cought around 1 minute on the team infromt and extended the lead by over 40 sec. to the team behind us (We can only see the distance to the team infront and the team behind) As this was the first race then the lineup is totally random.

We knew that we had to give all we could in the final stretch as we werent that many in the team together, and we did pretty good finishing the race in 2nd place just over 7 seconds behing Team SRT that finished 1st and around 9 seconds clear of Team CLS that finished 3rd, we were pretty pleased with that as Team CLS had dinished in 1st place in both round 1 & Round 2

The result was pretty good, and I was fairly pleased with my effort, averagingn 199w over the barely 52 minutes the race took. So all in all a good start to the 3rd round for the team, now just looking forward to the next race on tuesday, we will be riding in France, and on a route called Douce France, pretty straight forward one with 24,8 km and 136,7m elevation. That one will be a Point Race, with Primes, but more on that next week in the race recap.
