RE: Cycling towards the sun โ€“ the second week of bikepacking through France

๐Ÿ˜Š Water is from taps or from the shop, there is no way around buying food and water almost everyday... And sometimes the food is awesome and sometimes just bread (which can be awesome too๐Ÿ˜‚) but stuff like risotto and any thing that can be cooked in one pot, and a lot of croissants and coffee๐Ÿ˜Š

I had thoughts of you foraging for some things along the way ๐Ÿ˜‚, but there's no crossiant tree to pick from. Sounds like travel camping via bikes, a really wonderful experience.

๐Ÿ˜‚ If I find the country with croissant trees I'll never leave!!
I would love too, but I guess my knowledge is limited... Nettles and thyme I encountered, I guess soon I could find some cherries too๐Ÿ˜Š

What light crusty vision of trees that would be, ๐Ÿ˜‚

my knowledge is limited

Yes, same for myself. I keep adding to what I know but still feel like I know very little. You found thyme? Wow! That doesn't grow wild here. Nettles are in abundance though. Cherries....oh, so YUM. What about wild strawberries?

๐Ÿ“yes!! But so far only their flowers are out...

Yes, it's early but I think around end of June or early July here. Berries are always my favourite. The wild strawberries are so incredibly sweet tasting. Always liked them better than the farmed ones.

100% yes, same with blueberries!! I never buy them, but wild ones I could have them everyday...:)

Yesss, wild blueberries! I've picked loads of those too and there's nothing like the wild ones. Might as well add in raspberries and blackberries, and all the berries you can think of growing wild. ๐Ÿ˜‚
