Hopefully you'll get to try out that lifestyle soon?
Gotta get my butt moving towards that. Not seeing the way, though. Only issue holding me back is the lack of a more stable decentralized income. How do you do with that while on the road?

Totally get that!!
Figuring it out, at the moment actually:) So far I usually worked, saved and left for as long as possible and lived on as little as possible. But I want to change that into a more stable way of having income while traveling, I mean Hive really opened up my mind to some possibilities... I guess I am just going to keep explore and try out different ways until something works and sticks:)
How do you manage so far? And do you have any plans?
I used to do the same as you: work in my hometown, save, and go. But I realized age will hit my door one day and I need a plan for that, like forming a family and have some sort of savings (don't wanna become one of those grumpy old single man \o). Because of that I kinda held back and started saving for an eventual emergency (which is going kinda ok).
The moving home lifestyle is still something I wanna try. I don't think Hive is enough to cover the costs though. One way, and part of the plan, is to sell my vintage car and get a van, but then a more stable income is needed.
After traveling for months without money we kinda get tired, right?
One huge problem is that most of my skills involve engineering and fixing stuff, which is kinda hard to sell 'on the way'
That's the kind of realisation I am having too at the moment. It is well to be off and free but eventually choosing a life and building that up does feel like the next step , kind of the step to a more established freedom, than the broke traveller:)
I also do think that we can create the live we really want, meaning having the finances and the freedom.
And figuring out our skills is one huge important part of it, I feel. At least that's what I am working on figuring out right now as well. I mean we do have this huge opportunity (and distraction) with the internet, where you can make an income of almost any skill, but can also get lost in an ocean...
And yes me too, I feel I have a lot of skills, that are amazing but I haven't figured out yet how to share or put them together in the ultimate constructive way...
A very interesting process though...
Have you been traveling solo? It does get tiring after a while, right? I mean, when we are solo every decision depends on us, which is draining sometimes. What's your study background?
That conversation is getting long😁
Well it can get tiring, as anything, I think. But I also find it really depends on the way of travelling, I mean do you move all the time? Or sometimes you could stay somewhere for a few months and then move on...
