In a few minutes I have to give back the two bicycles we rented yesterday for my neighbour and her daughter-in-law.
(The minutes have already passed) 😁
I had to go personally, as the rental was made with the details of my identity card and those of my neighbour's son, but they carried the bikes, as you can see, to the nearest Ha'Bici station, which is in the Reloj Club neighbourhood in the Boyeros municipality.
The very short video I presented to you is a record of a birthday celebration on wheels. You can probably already guess whose birthday it was.

What I can tell you is that a plan that includes bicycles and with the company of people you love will guarantee that you have a really good time. 😃 That was the gift I gave my friend: A day trip on wheels, passing by an ice-cream parlour and then ending up at the coast for a cold 🤣 swim with lots of laughter and jokes.
As I have been going on adventures with her son and the neighbour on the other side of my house for a few days now, she was eager to participate in one of these outings.
There we all are, because I was the one who took this picture.
But you know I like to tell things in a disorganised way. We were on our way home and I asked them to stand still near another of Kcho's sculptures that can be seen along 5th Avenue in Miramar. I featured one in my previous post.
We didn't wait for the sunset on the coast so that we wouldn't be caught by the night on the way home, but the night blanket covered us anyway. The cyclists on the rented bikes are very beginners and that's why we were riding at a snail's pace.
There is evidence that we bathe. We didn't mind that it was a bit cold. I won't show you their pictures but I will show you mine and the shark's picture. Hahaha... that was another one of our jokes the day before, that a shark could be present on the shore. And I took it upon myself to take him (the photo is not of very good quality but if you zoom in you can see it).
This is my birthday month too and we joke a lot that we are getting old. My neighbour says I'm an old lady... because of the things I do and say, for example, I get stuck in awkward places, i.e. rocky places, in the difficult thing of taking off or putting on my shoes, or getting in and out of the water... I took extra clothes so I don't come back wet, I collected the ice cream containers we consume in a plastic bag and put them in my backpack to reuse them... I say they are very useful, light and airtight for us cyclists to carry our snacks in there.
😂 But then she asked me to give her some. Lol.
She was very happy. She said several times that it was a great day, out of the ordinary, out of what she had always done on her birthdays. And she was already planning to do something similar for mine. She seemed to like it so much that she wanted to go a bit further, to the Morro Castle, to Old Havana... and I laughed and told her no, not that close, but to Cojímar, that famous place where Ernest Hemingway set his novel The Old Man and the Sea, which won him the Nobel Prize.
We'll see what happens... There are still a few days to go before that beautiful date. 😄
On the way home we ordered some pizzas, stopped at a patisserie to buy some sweets that were delicious... and closed the night singing Happy Birthday and with more laughter and jokes.
I am one of those people who believe that the best and coolest moments come out of spontaneity and are often free... or don't involve spending a lot of money.
They don't pay me to promote it but this bike rental service is really good and there are several pay rates, which is very convenient because you can plan your day or the activity you are going to do. They even have a very cheap option to move from station to station and there are several all over Havana.
