Merry Christmas: ARCHON:ARCHONM pool is the present to unwrap

As we slowly take the steps to put ARCHON tribe back together, and keep growing stronger than ever, we have already turned back on ARCHONM mining. But to take this a step further, and integrate the tribe tokens further, we are unveiling a ARCHON:ARCHONM pool.

There are no rewards at this time, and currently no plans to make any. But some thing could be proposed, any such proposal should contain key information such as the source of the funds and the proposed timeline for the contract. For now, besides staking ARCHON or owning ARCHONM, the valid option for members who want to "invest" in supporting the tribe is the ARCHON:SWAP.HIVE pool.

The APR there is clocking "only" 8.1% right now, although this would improve along with the ARCHON price in this set up - and this is relevant because the LP contract is paid up for 5000 days. That strategy will involve impermanent loss, so if you don't like that stay away from both of these LPs.

This new pool will tie ARCHONM into the ARCHON economy, and as ARCHON already has its pool with Swap.HIVE, we will see some bot action help to "mark" out the negotiation zone on the markets with this move, and will open up an easy way for holders of either token to switch to the other, even if just to sell easier.

The rest of the post will be an exploration of how one might go about deciding whether they want to have ARCHON tokens or ARCHONM tokens.

ARCHON and ARCHONM are two different ways to participate in the tribe. I will try to document both myth and reality.

ARCHON token, being a tribal proof of brain token, is "stake-able" and also results in "curation" being possible. I am not currently sure where to check or change these tribe settings (put that on the to-do list), but we can be sure that posts that use the #archon tag will be "curate-able".

If not everyone votes, or doesn't vote on enough posts with the right tag/s because they are focused on high VP for their HP, those that do vote may be getting outrageous aprs on even relatively little inflation. We are minting additional ARCHON tokens additional to this POB source of inflation, whatever it is, for the mining operation, which is controlled with an independent script. If anyone needs this miner or payout script, let us know at Asisstance, Resources, and Community Help.

The more ARCHONM in the LP (or bought up by our own account(s)), the less inflation from miners.

ARCHONM tokens were supposed to be about governance, a way to invest in the tribe. While we lost the funding of this investment (/archon-mining), we have decided to use what funds we do have to support ARCHONM. This has actually resulted in significant buybacks at very low prices. I will return with a follow on post here soon, which will explain how "we" paid for the pool (1000 BEE).

What should the prices be now?

For that, we need our members and the market, and probably some time. ARCHON token is probably an undervalued tribe at current prices, but no longer undervalued strictly according to its assets.

The higher the ARCHON price, the better the ARCHONM apr - as they pay out a fixed 0.25 ARCHON per day. And one day, maybe something about governance, whatever that means. Come to think about it, we can propose a vote in the server about a discord role for having ARCHONM miners.

So do your napkin math fellow archons, and decide how much of which token you want to hold in this tribe. And dump the rest 😉 Let's together figure out exactly what these things are worth, relative to each other at least.

I was kind of obsessed with the Archon coin back on STEEM, but I thought that tribe died down after moving to hive.

I need to take a look back into this coin :)

Definitely get caught up on the story! I have a few posts within the last month. I too have a place in my heart for the feelings we all felt when this token was new.
