A brief update for current and future MAPXV members.

The Steem blockchain and ecosystem continues to evolve in reponse to the Justin Sun takeover of Steemit Inc. Members of MAPX should read this longer post on MAPR and MAP FinTech programs in general.
This post is specifically about MAPXV and the way forward in the short term. The devs of both the new Hive and Steem-Engine are working hard to ensure that nobody loses any coins or tokens. However, there are technical issues that need to be decided, especially for Steem-Engine, so that token issuers can decide what to do.
With changes now happening quickly, and people making choices regarding Steem versus Hive, we at MAPXV have lost one of our largest delegations. We have therefore needed to respond by removing some of our own outbound delegations. All of this will take 5 days to settle down.
However, the worst part was not the loss of SP itself but that the system dropped our VP from about 70% to about 1%! I am aware that RC moves with delegations, but this is deeply stupid code as our RC is at 100%. So, not only have we lost SP but it further punishes by dumping our VP - there is no mathematically valid reason to do this. All we can do is respond.
So, the reason I have taken an extra day to post this is that I've been thinking of a solution. It is going to take MAPXV at least another 2 days to recharge its VP. However, we are still earning decent rewards from last week, so I propose that members will be paid out in STEEM the equivalent of their votes. This may even be higher than the upvotes, and I will do this at the weekend, at the same time as our weekly accounts are posted.
So, please be patient, this is one of many temporary problems that we have faced during this turbulent and volatile time.

What is MAPXV?
MAPXV was the second vote-bond, after MAPX, in the MAP Steem FinTech family of tokens. It is designed to give 2 upvotes per day at 0.2% weight per token.
