Learn To Celebrate Your Small Wins

Success means different things to different people depending on their goal or aim they are trying to achieve. As humans we are unique with what we want and thrive to achieve. The end result of trying to achieve a certain goal or aim is what determines what we call success. Success means a lot to me, at different stages in my life I will say I have achieved success one way or the other.

I remember when I was a teenager, one of my greatest aim in life was finishing high school with the best results to make my father proud, I certainly achieved that and I was successful with my result. While some have different goals, the only way to achieve that goal to be successful is to put in the work. Currently I feel really successful in life, I wake up every morning feeling grateful, I have not achieved what I want to achieve yet, but I feel like am on the right path and the distance between where I am right now and the total end result of my goal is not far.

Reading from @kawsar8035 post in Success in life is a chapter in moving forward

Success is not permanent in our lives. Just because we have success in life does not mean that we are successful people for the rest of our lives. In fact, success means a strong conviction to move forward. There is no lasting success in our lives.

Why Do I Feel Successful Even When I Have Not Achieved My Goal?
This year has thought me a very great lesson, and that lesson is while trying to achieve a very big win, the best you can do is celebrate and be grateful for the little wins you achieve on your journey to the big win. This way I get motivated to wanting to do more instead of feeling sad. I celebrate the little wins I achieve in a day to prepare me for the bigger win. It makes me show and put in effort daily. Because little efforts is what brings about the bigger results.

I’m learning to enjoy the process and have fun right now as am going through my humble processes. While aiming for the bigger win, don’t get distracted with your little wins and become lazy or feel invincible. It’s always good to reward yourself to remind yourself why you are hustling or putting in the work to try to achieve what you want to achieve, but don’t reduce your effort.

What Can People Do To Be Successful
I feel you have to have a goal first because success without setting a goal won’t feel like success. Let’s say someone never wanted to be a branch manager at his office, he was cool with his position at the office and didn’t set a goal to being a branch manager. Then suddenly he gets a letter from his office offering him the position of a branch manager, do you think that person will value it or consider it a success? To that person that was just a privilege he didn’t work for, so losing it won’t be a big deal for him. Compare it to another person that has been working so hard to get that position and finally gets it. The person will be so grateful and value that position because they worked so hard for it.

So you need to have a goal, work towards trying to achieve that goal and never give up. The “Never Give Up” phrase sounds too cliché because people use that a lot. But from the look of things, if you really want to achieve something and it means a lot, don’t give up trying to achieve it and you will certainly see results.

Giving and helping others is another way to achieve success. The universe always pave a way for people who are generous, so always learn to give. Giving does not start and end with money, you can give service and kind words. Words of encouragement can go a long way to a person who was looking for a sign to keep moving. This is because, no man is an island, we all need some one, either to uplift us or to motivates us.

Always stay open to learning, because that’s the best way to grow in order for us to achieve success. Learning never ends, learning improves us.
