It's good to be back on the Openmic stage! I was very active on the contest from 2016-2018, and I am glad that @cabelindsay has given rebirth to this great musical community.
His theme this week is Rebirth, which I thought was appropriate; it is a rebirth to Openmic!
Also, I could not start my rebirth on Openmic without doing a Dylan cover!! I am choosing to cover "New Morning" by Bob Dylan from his 1970 album. I decided to play harmonica on the recording even though I don't believe it was on the original.
I am late in posting for the Week 24 entry, but I did record it before midnight. A "New Morning" approaches us, and also, a new week of Openmic. I learned this song like 10 minutes before I played it haha...I made a few mistakes for sure.

Fantastic cover! I'm grateful for your introduction, sharing your story so we can get to know the artist behind the artistry. I'm with you in being grateful to @luzcypher for hosting the Steemit Open Mic in such a good way. Cool of you to show support of this event week after week, and then finally bring your voice. I actually dig the fact that you kept on cruising, keeping the mistakes and all, just presenting yourself as is. Very humble, and human of you. Love that! And somehow I wasn't even aware that this awesome song existed, so thanks for sharing. I dig it big time.
I appreciate the listen! Yeah, I butchered the song haha but hopefully many Open Mics to perfect the performance. I see from your posts how hard you are working on this, and it's super cool. Hopefully we can get more people to join in. Thanks again! The whole album "New Morning" is great.
Sounding good for so little practice even if you had to search for some chords. I am sure Bob has messed up some of his songs. I ought to get back into doing Open Mic. Did you see @luzcypher has been posting again? It would be great to have a tune from him.

Thanks man! Yeah, in the spirit of open mic-- and playing it essentially live-- I just wanted it to feel more real with the mistakes. It's good to be back on it. Appreciate the support and BEER! You should get back in it for sure! I also saw him making some posts and wished him the best with his meditations. It is good to see any old crew back to posting!
I am finding more musicians on here. Maybe some of them will get involved. I just find some of the 'themes' are not really my thing, but then you can interpret them as you like.
