Vasos vacíos ||| Empty glasses
For some strange reason, I had been posting my Hive Open Mic entries at the last minute and was falling further and further behind. I was about to record my participation yesterday, thinking about week 20 and I realized that @cabelindsay had already published the announcement of the following week, that is to say week 21. So I decided that, instead of being one of the last ones, now I will be one of the first ones. So instead of being late for week 20, I come early for week 21.
For this occasion I decided to record a ska. I have already said many times that this is a music genre that I like very much and recently I uploaded an instrumental one (Guns of Navarone). I also wanted to make a song where I could sing and include the trombone, to continue practicing with this difficult and beautiful instrument.
That's how I came up with this song that was recorded by the Argentine group Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, in whose original recording the great Celia Cruz also participated as a guest.
So, as I said before, this is my participation for the Hive Open Mic in its 21st week.

Por alguna extraña razón, yo venía publicando mis participaciones en Hive Open Mic en el último momento y cada vez me estaba retrasando aún más. Ya estaba a punto de grabar mi participación ayer, pensando en la semana 20 y me di cuenta que @cabelindsay ya había publicado el anunció de la semana siguiente, es decir la semana 21. Así que decidí que, en vez de ser de los últimos, ahora seré de los primeros. Así que en lugar de llegar tarde a la semana 20, vengo temprano para la 21.
Para esta ocasión decidí grabar un ska. Ya he dicho muchas veces que este es un género musical que me gusta muchísimo y hace poco subí uno instrumental (Guns of Navarone). También quería hacer un tema donde cantara y pudiera incluir el trombón, para seguir practicando con este difícil y hermoso instrumento.
De esa manera llegué a esta canción que fue grabada por el grupo argentino Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, en cuya grabación original también participó, como invitada, la gran Celia Cruz.
Así que, como dije antes, esta es mi participación para el Hive Open Mic en su semana 21.

Your song brings back some good memories of Ska concerts, circa 2000. It's a fantastically upbeat musical genre. And I dig the way you're playing that trombone. Nice one!
