Para mi es un encanto de día, me gusta mucho celebrar la vida en cada ocasión, todo momento especial. Cumplir años para mi es el real año nuevo, como la apertura de nuevas oportunidades y despertares internos.
Hello hivers, I come to tell you how my birthday was, but first tell me do you celebrate your sunset, do you like that date? For me it is a lovely day, I love to celebrate life on every occasion, every special moment. For me, having a birthday is the real new year, like the opening of new opportunities and inner awakenings.
Desde que empecé la especialización en la arteterapia y las ceremonias holísticas, esta fecha cobró más importancia para mi. Porque reafirma la idea que el cumpleaños es para conectar, fortalecer y honrarte en mente, cuerpo y espíritu, junto a las personas que te hacen bien. A pesar de no haber hecho una ceremonia formal como las que aprendí, me mantuve fiel a mi e integre un poco lo nuevo.
Since I started specializing in art therapy and holistic ceremonies, this date became more important to me. Because it reaffirms the idea that the birthday is to connect, strengthen and honor yourself in mind, body and spirit, together with the people who make you well. Even though I didn't do a formal ceremony like the ones I learned, I stayed true to myself and integrated a little bit of the new.
Siempre me han gustado las fiestas de cumpleaños, pero desde que migré he cambiado bastante de perspectiva, por la misma dinámica del cambio de vida, horarios y personas. Todo ese proceso me enseñó que lo importante es cómo lo quiera disfrutar y festejar yo. Este año solo quería mi buena torta de chocolate y salir a comer vestida linda, no importaba si sola o acompañada.
I have always liked birthday parties, but since I migrated I have changed my perspective a lot, due to the same dynamics of the change of life, schedules and people. This whole process taught me that the important thing is how I want to enjoy and celebrate it. This year I just wanted my good chocolate cake and to go out to eat dressed up, no matter if alone or accompanied.
El día anterior me fui con mi mamá a comprar la torta y darnos un paseo relajado, aprovechando que las dos andábamos libre, como hacía muchísimo calor, usé esta maxifalda, que en mi blog pueden ver como la transforme desde en un vestido,, sumé el top blanco que es bastante fresco y unas chalas de taco acolchada super cómodas, así nos fuimos a disfrutar de un té helado y un café.
The day before I went with my mom to buy the cake and take a relaxed walk, taking advantage that we were both free, as it was very hot, I wore this maxi skirt, which in my blog you can see how I transformed it from a dress, I added the white top that is quite cool and a super comfortable padded heeled shawls, so we went to enjoy an iced tea and coffee.
Al llegar al departamento también llegó mi prima y juntas nos pusimos a decorar, bueno; ellas más que yo. Ya para las 00h la decoración estaba lista, la torta estaba también, así que aprovechamos de cantar cumple, junto a mi sobri con su piano, ha sido de lo más emotivo, ver como se aprendió las notas de un día para otro solo para mi y tan chiquito, creo ha sido un regalo de cumpleaños realmente significativo para mi en muchos años.
When we arrived at the apartment my cousin also arrived and together we started decorating, well; they more than me. By 00h the decoration was ready, the cake was ready too, so we took the opportunity to sing birthday, together with my nephew with his piano, it has been very emotional, to see how he learned the notes from one day to another just for me and so small, I think it has been a really meaningful birthday gift for me in many years.
Luego al despertar, mi prima me invitó mi desayuno favorito: unas empanadas venezolanas que venden cerca de donde vivimos, el look fue un short jean con un top crochet, este fue un regalo de mi prima, algo que jamás hubiese comprado yo, pero siempre coqueteaba con la idea, para mi eso es un buen obsequio, algo que quieres pero no te atreves. El top tejido es super suave y fresco, a la medida, en cuanto a las empanadas que buena manera de empezar el festejo de cumpleaños, estaban deliciosas.
Then when I woke up, my cousin invited me to my favorite breakfast: some Venezuelan empanadas that they sell near where we live, the look was a jean short with a crochet top, this was a gift from my cousin, something I would never have bought myself, but I always flirted with the idea, for me that's a good gift, something you want but don't dare. The knitted top is super soft and cool, it's just right, as for the empanadas, what a great way to start the birthday celebration, they were delicious.
Para la tarde me dedique a descansar y dormir un poco, porque días anteriores había tenido mucho agite, así que junto a mi mamá escuchamos música, comimos, dormimos, hasta hice un quesillo tradicional para acompañar la torta, quedó riquísimo, aunque de vista no estaba muy lindo, pero lo importante es el sabor (risas).
In the afternoon I dedicated myself to rest and sleep a little, because previous days I had had a lot of agitation, so together with my mom we listened to music, ate, slept, I even made a traditional quesillo to accompany the cake, it was delicious, although the view was not very nice, but the important thing is the taste (laughs).
Para el final del día, nos vestimos lindas, yo con un pantalón dorado de eco cuero, unas sandalias de corcho altas y franela alusiva a París, otro regalo de mi prima alusivo a un chiste interno que tenemos. Así nos juntamos en el restaurante de un centro comercial llamado Costanera, ubicado en Providencia. Allí comimos, brindamos, conversamos de la vida y nos devolvimos a casa para disfrutar del pastel y el quesillo.
By the end of the day, we dressed up, me in a pair of golden eco-leather pants, high cork sandals and flannel alluding to Paris, another gift from my cousin alluding to an inside joke we have. So we gathered at the restaurant of a shopping mall called Costanera, located in Providencia. There we ate, toasted, talked about life and returned home to enjoy the cake and quesillo.
Así fue el festejo de mi cumpleaños, la pasé bastante tranquila, a gusto y contenta. Llena de agradecimiento con todos los que hicieron presencia con sus felicitaciones y compañía ¿Cómo creen ustedes que celebrarán su próximo cumple? No dejen de hacerlo, recuerden que es honrarse a ustedes mismo, lo importante es hacerlo de corazón, como un regalo de ti , para ti.
That's how my birthday celebration was, I spent it quite calmly, at ease and happy. Full of gratitude to all those who were present with their congratulations and company.
