La libertad de Expresión, un derecho anulado, como el no tener agua. Es la historia de hoy y de siempre, en Venezuela.
El no tener servicio de agua potable acarrea muchas cosas, trae consigo muchos problemas, además de no tener agua, es tener que cargar tobos con agua, principalmente el cuerpo humano lleva ese peso que trae consigo dolores musculares en el hombro, la espalda y brazos porque estas haciendo una contracción muscular isométrica. Esto ocurre cuando cargamos el balde de agua, es una contracción muscular dónde existe una tensión muscular en la que el músculo no cambia de longitud y la articulación no se mueve.
En este caso el músculo permanece estático, sin acortarse ni alargarse, pero aunque permanece estático genera una tensión continúa y, no se produce ni acortamiento ni alargamiento de las fibras musculares. Ahora, imagínate cargar agua todos los días porque hay sectores en la ciudad de Cumaná dónde no tienen servicio de agua potable por más de 15 años, ese es el barrio Pui Pui.
Anoche estaba hablando con un amigo de la república Dominicana, él me anda enseñando sobre su país y yo del mío, además que nos ponemos a estudiar y repasar sobre nuestra profesión. Estaba cocinando sabroso y me dijo que cocinara eso también, aunque quisiera comer lo que él estaba comiendo, no pude hacerlo porque no tenía agua en mi casa para cocinar. Intenté explicarle y él se echó a reír, trató de generar empatía y me dijo que me entendía. Dice que Venezuela igual sigue siendo bella, a pesar de los problemas y si, tiene razón.
Hoy sábado, 2 de febrero, seguimos sin agua porque un tubo se dañó y aún no llega. Entonces llegó una cisterna a surtir agua a los ciudadanos en mi urbanización. Mamá, ha estado yendo al peñón, una urbanización que queda al frente de nuestra urbanización para buscar agua, he tenido que acompañarla y, hoy, me tocó agarrar agua.
Además, de cargar tobos con agua, el peso, hacer la contracción muscular isométrica al cargar el balde de agua, es también la respiración. Vi un hombre que se nota que estaba haciendo ejercicios y se veía que tenía fuerza muscular para cargar los baldes de agua, tuvo que hacer un descanso porque le afectaba el hombro y la zona de la espalda. Es que si, aunque no lo creas, eso perjudica.

Fue cerca, tuvimos que estar en una esquina, haciendo cola con los potes de agua, me tocó llevar una ponchera que dicha ponchera luego fue un caos para traerla. Gracias a un chico que tiene más fuerza muscular que mi mamá y yo, nos la llevó a la casa. Un señor quiso prestarnos una carretilla para poder llevar la ponchera con agua pero los cauchos estaban ya deteriorados y no queríamos usarla porque se podría dañar y no era nuestra.
Por fin, llegó la cisterna de agua, hidrocaribe a surtir agua. Luego, me tocó llevar cada balde de agua, me cansé pero más se cansa mamá y tengo que ayudarla. Cada balde de agua que llevé, me hacía pensar que no deberíamos vivir así. Si, Venezuela es hermosa, sin embargo, merecemos vivir bien con todos los servicios básicos. Vivir bien y no "sobrevivir".
Una señora dijo "con esta agua que se agarró hoy se sobrevive por unos días" y siento que debería vivir en un país dónde no se sobrevive y vivamos mejor.

Every bucket of water I carried made me think that we should not live like this. Yes, Venezuela is beautiful, however, we deserve to live well with all the basic services. Live well and not “survive”.
One lady said “with this water that was caught today we can survive for a few days” and I feel that I should live in a country where we do not survive and live better.
