RE: Let's Stop and Pick some Flowers 💐🌼

in Daily Blog3 months ago

Oh I am so glad that this made you smile! I felt like posting something more light & whimsical today. and to answer you question :: the flowers that are growing in the ground will last a few weeks, or as long as it keeps raining. The flowers that I harvested will keep for about a year if I dry them well. The white flowers (mums) aren't meant to consuming so it is just for decoration.

Ohh? About a year? Wow
That’s really nice. ☺️
Tempted to ask if it works with roses?

It also works with roses, more so the red and pink roses because white ones tend to just turn brown. It is all about how you dry them. If you want to dry some flowers at home I would suggest laying them flat on a wooden plate, or even cardboard works well too, then keep the flowers in the shade until they are totally dry. This can be tricky in humid climates but I think it is a nice way to keep the flowers all year.

This is really insightful
Thank you so much
