I thought it was just the usual soreness you get after working out.. especially because I had been slacking off for many months now, so I thought I was just getting ALL the soreness my body could produce in retaliation for making it work more.
The big hint was when, no matter that I was working only upperbody things, My hip/inner thigh region was just killing me. It felt like something had just snapped, or at least was very very damaged.
And when I could manage to stand up, I would take a second or three to rub my thighs and even specifically the back of my thigh. This was odd since I had never had any hamstring soreness or injury before now.
From what I read, recovery can vary in time, but averages about 1-2 months. There are some stretching and light exercises that one can do, but mostly it just takes rest.. Let the body heal. Ok, I can do that.
I was all ready to start full force with working out now, but I injured myself at the end of 2023, and I guess it never healed completely.. and I probably ruined all the progress it had made, so now I need to be cautious about it. Don't put undue stress on that area. Like I would do (standing) shrugs with target bags full of 6, 2-liter soda bottles full of water. I didn't get why it would effect my lowerbody at all.. but now I see that it takes lots of muscle in that groin area, to hold my body steady and to 'lift' those bags, even if it is my traps that are doing the actual motion.
I will NOT try and do any direct work of that area, and only seated exercise of any upperbody stuff. As long as my mouse arm and finger are working, then life can go on.. :P
good to hear you were able to figure what to do to return your body back.
YEA! 💪😎🤙
Feel better soon my friend!
And guard the health of that mouse arm and finger with your life! :D
💪😋🤙 thanks my friend, I am doing much, much better.. (about 90%)
I must be at full capacity for the coming 9 on 9 battles ahead!..
