Last week I went to Kuching for a friend's wedding. A trip with lots of first for myself. First trip to Kuching without my wife and first trip outstation with my brother in 36 years of life.

Really lovely bowl of Sarawak laksa to start the trip and definitely not gonna be the last one. But now after the trip, it really was our first and last bowl of laksa. Glad we manage to satisfy our cravings for laksa before an occupied trip with other delicious food.
The prawns were perfectly cooked, broth was delicious and so cool they have these microgreens coriander that reminds me of home.
We also had Sio Bee which is like siu mai, but slightly different in taste and it was really good. Also had a nice cooling cup of Wheatgrass + milk. It isn't a common drink in West Malaysia but in Sarawak, it's right about everywhere you go to have a meal.

That sounds like an amazing start to your trip! Sarawak laksa is such a unique dish and I had it twice. Unfortunately, big prawns aren't available all the time here, but I do but the shrimps because I really love them.
