FOODlog #1299: Spicy Bean Paste Steamed Barramundi

in Daily Blog8 days ago (edited)

Cooked a few of these giant Seabass fillets for supper last Saturday. After our event, I decided to cook something really yummy for the staff for supper. Prepared steam Seabass with spicy bean paste (doubanjiang).

The sauce is a simple mix of ginger, garlic, shallots, and red chilies, together with soy sauce, oyster sauce, spicy bean paste, and a little sugar.

Fish is steamed for 8 minutes then drained before spreading the sauce and into the steamer to cook for another 2 minutes.

Serve it up with some white rice or porridge which would be so perfect with it and enjoy!
