FOODlog #1301: Mutton Oorugai & Naan

Had some leftover pizza dough that needed to be used or it'll be in the bin. Made an Indian-inspired meal for our staff meal on instead and utilised the leftover pizza dough to make some "naan".

  • Mutton Oorugai
  • Chickpea & Potatoes Masala
  • Cheese "Naan"

For the mutton I used an Indian-spiced pickled ginger together with garlic and onions to make the sauce. I also added in some stew ingredients like mushrooms, carrots, and celery to give it more body and depth of flavor. Paired together with some garam masala and it turned out to be a very lovely dry mutton curry.

I also made a quick chickpea curry. Simply chucking in canned chickpeas and chopped up potatoes together with turmeric powder, mustard seeds, some onions and tomatoes and let it simmer until the potatoes soften.

Everything paired so well together, making it such a delicious and hearty meal.
