FOODlog #1323: Beef Brisket Dinner

in Daily Blog17 days ago (edited)

I don't have any particular food that I would call my favorite but beef has got to be up there on my list of favorites.

Was craving some barbecue so I made a barbecue themed dinner for our staff meal.

Prepared beef brisket with the accompanying sides of scratch made skin on potato wedges, oven roasted broccoli, and BBQ baked beans.

My first attempt at a brisket which definitely could've been better. Could've been more moist which is just down to technique so I guess particle makes perfect.

I The other side dish that I was really happy with which was always my first time making were the baked beans. I used cannellini white beans and cooked it with a barbecue sauce combining ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, sugar, vinegar, and seasoned with black pepper.

Turned out super good and it literally saved the overcooked brisket.

I enjoyed the dinner but definitely could've been better in the execution of the brisket.

Oh well, I'll be back again to conquer a juicy brisket!
