This isn't just an interesting post but one with a vital lesson. There is so much we can achieve with cooperation and it would have been impossible for you and husby to pass through without the help of others who also need your help.

It's all a lack of funds I believe. The locks are hundreds of years old, and the River and Canal Trust are always out doing maintenance during winter months especially. However, there's neglect this side:)
