My Day, My Night!

in Daily Blog9 days ago (edited)

Hey everyone! It’s me, @glaizscape. Today officially marks my two weeks since I joined Hive and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share my experience with you. At this point, my experience here has been smooth sailing, fun and I’m loving it. For today’s blog I will share a photo of one of my school days and everything that happened along the way. Let’s dive in!

First, I’ll share the buildings where I spend most of my school days. The two new buildings are the College of Management and Entrepreneurship (CME) building and the College of Engineering (COE) building. Aren’t they cool? Even though I’ve only been here for a moment, these buildings already have so many memories.

I came in early today, which is a little unusual for yours truly. I’m a 4 p.m. night student and my class doesn’t start until then. I know, sounds exhausting, huh? But it’s a little exhausting, and I’m getting used to it, my schedule goes from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. As a night class student, I have morning and afternoon all to myself, but my evenings are constantly occupied.

When class finally began, we jumped right into our lessons, and before I knew it, the hours had whisked by. Our class finished, and, as always, my friends and I lingered in the hallway. We don’t leave without snapping a handful of pictures, it’s practically a tradition at this point.

This time we tried to take a few pictures of the glass walls in the hallway. I have to admit, it was a little nerve wracking because we didn’t know if there were people inside the rooms. Can you imagine how humiliating it would be to be caught in a shooting pose? Fortunately, we didn’t encounter anyone, so we just went for it.

We weren’t supposed to stand around, take photos and then head straight home. But of course, when you have friends, things go awry. On the way out, they chose to detour at a convenience store. I didn’t really have much of a say in the whole thing, I’m the kind of person who says yes to anything my friends want to do.

When we finally reached the convenience store, the friends I was with began selecting snacks and drinks. I wasn’t really in the mood to purchase anything, so I picked up a beverage for myself. I mean, there are so many choices in a convenience store, particularly in the cases full of drinks.

As for me, I prefer yogurt drinks and soda. But here’s the thing, I don’t drink soda all the time. I’m not like my sister, who really has a soda problem! I don’t drink it all the time, but one of those days I just wanted something refreshing.

Once we had our snacks and drinks, we found a place to sit and talk. Many of my days are so much better with these small moments with friends. We discussed random topics, not serious stuff, just teenage chit-chat.

We couldn’t help ourselves and had to stop for a picture at the circular mirror at the inside of the convenience store before leaving. Have you guys noticed how teenagers around my age always do this when they’re in a convenience store? I guess it’s one of those unwritten rules or something! I think it’s funny, but I really don’t know why we do it. Perhaps it’s simply an archaic tradition that we all adhere to sheepishly.

My day was rather mundane but mostly meaningful in small ways. Taking random pictures, attending my night classes, hanging out with friends, these are the snippets of run-of-the-mill experiences that make college life great.

While the schedule can be exhausting, I cherish the time I have with my friends. Be it laughing in the hallway, getting a drink from the convenience store or taking funny photos, these are the moments I’ll cherish forever.

And that's a wrap for today's blog! I hope you have enjoyed reading about my day, and getting a unique insight in to what me as a night class student looks like. Thank you for coming along with me on this journey, and I am looking forward to sharing more stories with you all. Until next time!

Stay happy and take care,
@glaizscape

That convenience store mirror pic is definitely a must! 😂 Classic college moments

yeah, like I don't know why but I think its also a trend so let's go on HAHAHA

such an exhausting schedule😩

yeah halerrr HAHAHAHA

I feel you about the glass walls😆. I always fight the urge to look at my reflection whenever I pass by that area, hahaha.

What if there are people inside HAHAHAHA

Exactly! Oh, it actually happened to us once, a couple of years ago, when there were people having their classes inside and we subconsciously fix ourselves as we passed by the mirrors. It was very embarrassing.

Have a great day and that's the student life hehehe.😁

Your day sounds fun @glaizscape I'm glad you enjoyed time with your friends. The convenience store pics demand is so me also everytime I go there with my friends hahahaha.😆

It sounds like you truly value your time with friends despite the busy schedule. Those little moments of laughter, grabbing a drink, and taking funny photos make for priceless memories.
