First Day of Chinese New Year with full-packed day

in Daily Bloglast month

First day of Chinese New Year was customarily to visit Grandparents for New Year greetings and for the children to collect red packets aka 'ang pao'. We went to Dad's and Mum's place for a short visitation. The children got to hang around for awhile, we drank the sweet herbal drink boiled by Mum. And then followed by prayers and collecting angpaos.

A group photo — a must-have!!! Happy Belated Chinese New Year from The Wong's!

And then, all of us went to visit the Aunt, the same Aunt I visit every Saturday. It is also our annual tradition to visit her house for 'pai nian'.

Me and boys. The father was driving.

The house was full of merry noise because of big gathering. Love it!!! Aunt was very happy too.

Then, we had prayers to pray for the elderly, followed by group photo!

Next, to Setapak Central mall for lunch.

After that was free and easy for everyone. Aunt did not prefer to go out for lunch this time due to her leg's slight immobility. She gave us some words of blessings before we departed to Setapak Central to have lunch at Sukiya to have some Tokyo bowl rice. I didn't manage to take any photos because I was occupied with a little adorable one.

After lunch, we walked to the centre court of the mall to take family Chinese New Year photos.

The boys were fascinated by the big Chinese drum. Everyone took turn to take photos here.

Then there was this big 'fu' word meaning blessings so we must take family photo here too.

After that, everyone was a little tired and off we went to go home. But my side was not done yet. Hehe. I brought the kids to visit my brother's house since my parents were there. Let's!!!

It was another merry house. My boys now another round of children gathering. Just now was the Wong clan, then it was Lee Clan at my brother's house.

We took opportunity to take photo with my parents because it was the first time to have a family photo with my sister in there. The beautiful six of us. I am still amazed how my parents took care of four of us. Now to take care of two boys I am already at the brink of overwhelming brain.🫠 Thanks to our parents who took care of us well. We are all healthy smart grown-ups now.

And off we went home to rest. At night, my brother's side came to my house, we ordered food delivery to eat at home. No photos taken on the food because I got to rest from photos-taking that nifht and was feeling really exhausted already. The kids loved it because they could stay at home whole night for screen time.

What a solemn and productive way of the Chinese new year!

The last photo of the kids looks great!
