It had been super busy November and December, with all the Christmas preparations, as well as my husband's hectic travelling schedule. At the same time, really thank God we finally gotten the keys to the new house that my siblings and I bought for my parents for retirement. So, I was rather busy with that too, checking defect stuff and looking and scouting various contractors.
Let me pen down my Christmas celebration!
Christmas at church
We started the end of November decorating the church, a simple and minimal decoration. It involved myself, my husband and my son, assisting the team leader and her baby boy. Such a bliss to work together, and we really appreciated each other, even with tight schedule as stay-at-home Mum, but she was willing to go all out to decorate the church. She was a professional florist as well as had done event planning and set up before, but after she gave birth, she settled down awhile as mothers to take care of her baby.
And my son helping occasionally with pushing the baby around in his stroller.
And me busy preparing all goodies and cards for everyone at church.
We celebrated church Christmas on 22nd December which was Sunday by itself, nothing bombastic because most of the leaders are young parents, hands are full with taking care of children. So we had simple got-together with an awesome sermon, followed by eating lunch together at a restaurant, sponsored by the church.
A group photo — a-must-have — as well as some photos with whoever I could grab, lol.
Lunch at Butter Kaya!
The church booked half of this restaurant for about 55 of us. We are a local small community church, so thank God the restaurant has enough space for all of us.
All of us had so much fun eating together, chit chatting while some of us were getting to know each other's friends.
I ordered buttermilk lala soup noodle for myself, while the husband and children had egg Korean chicken rice, a roti John and a classic soy sauce noodle and sambal chicken. My brother ordered curry noodle for himself. The food here was amazingly good although on the more expensive side.
It was indeed a busy and fruitful November and December. Also time for us to reflect back what God had done so far in our life this year, all the challenges we had successfully braced through and I can say, all of us has instilled so much more new courage to face year 2025!
I know it was so late haha, but I did greet everyone Merry Christmas to all who celebrated but I had not had time to blog it yet. 😬 I super love this mini Christmas tree hair clip DIY by my sister-in-law.
