As a freshmen, adjusting to college life can be tough, You’re meeting new people, a new environment ,and having a new schedule, and juggling responsibilities. But to succeed, it’s important to live a healthy lifestyle.
We had a seminar held on our campus last week that was exclusively in its 1st year. It's all about "Essential Coping skills and strategies for freshmen success ". I was eager to learn about this because it's all about our health. I take note of everything that speakers told us the essential things that we should do to have a healthy lifestyle.
Firstly, the speaker explained to us the importance of the Balance Diet. You must eat 3 balanced meals a day. Skipping meals can lead you to feel tired and unfocused, you get irritated quickly.
Secondly, having Time Management. Having track on your time helps reduce your stress and it keeps you productive. By this you can balance your studies and personal time.
The speaker explained to us the Holy four these are the 4 pillars to keep us healthy. It includes NUTRITION, it means you must eat healthy meals like vegetables, having fruits and avoiding junk foods also soda. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, in our everyday life we are so focused on our responsibilities we forgot to care for our health, it helps our body to circulate the blood by doing stretching in the morning doing small walks.
SLEEP, it's important among all you to sleep 7-8 hours every night. Using your phone at midnight can affect yourself, because of the screen light. And lastly AVOID SMOKING AND DRINKING this habit can affect your health, smoking can damage our lungs, making it harder to breathe. And drinking too much alcohol is bad for our health. MODERATION IS A KEY.
Time management helps you stay balanced, grow personally and reduce stress. There are five crucial tips that can help you have Time Management.
- Prioritize Task, focus on the most important things first. Break down Tasks, having numerous tasks to do can lead to stress so by reducing stress divide big tasks into smaller ones.
Use the Eisenhower Matrix These techniques can greatly help identify tasks that are urgent and crucial and that thing you must do first.
Set Goals and Stick to a Schedule: Use a planner or apps like Google Calendar.

Living a Healthy lifestyle it sets you up for success in school and life. Having a balanced diet, involved into physical activity easting vegetable. And by managing your time, practicing self care , you build habits that your health benefits too.
