After the Mass, ignited and eager, we went straight to the market to buy ingredients for a beautiful breakfast. This was more a trip to the market it was a time to prepare something special so that we could celebrate in honor of the love and commitment that has developed through the years between my mom and dad. My dad, Nanay, my good friend Junvir, and I were on this beautiful journey of their love. There was a specific vibe in the air, with the sounds bustling through the busy aisles of the market where the bright aroma of fresh produce, meat, and spices filled the surrounding atmosphere. I really love to go with my parents to buy some food here in the market. It's really enjoyable to choose some meat, spices, and whatever food you want to buy. The market is a place where you can buy any food you want to cook, and cooking is also one of my favorite hobbies. I really love cooking especially when it's my favorite food.
Knowing this meat was going to be the heart of our dish, we chose it carefully and then considered all the spices we would use. Choosing meat is important because sometimes, if we choose directly, we can buy meat that is very old enough, and if it is cooked, it's going to be hard since it takes time, especially when nilagang baboy. What, then, makes dishes flavorful? Spices, of course. Therefore, we did not forget to gather many of them garlic, onions, pepper, and other seasonings that would bring out the best flavors in our cooking. Spices are very important, for it is the reason why food is delicious. It gives color to your food and is flavorful. I've always thought that food is more than just nourishment. It's an expression of love, and today, we wanted to pour all of our love into preparing this meal.
When we arrived home, we began to wash and start cooking the meat. The kitchen was lit by the chopping and sizzling of meat in the pan and the wholesome aroma of spices in the air. Everyone had his assignment, we worked together as one family for this since it's the true reason why we celebrate this occasion because of the unity of each other. And with that, as their family w, we should always help each other and build a strong bond. After all, I was reminded that cooking is not just preparing food cooking is making memories, laughter, and stronger bonds with each other. No matter what happens to our life through ups and downs, we should always adhere to things wherever we go. We should always unite ourselves because we are one family.
Finally, after all the hard work, the food was ready to serve. We set the table making it look beautiful and inviting, then sat together as a family to savor the food prepared with so much love. Every bite reminded a unity of warmth and, therefore, simple yet profound that would be our definition of family love's embrace.
While we eat, we share stories, hear laughter, and give bright smiles to one another. It was not only for another year in between my parents as a married couple but to value all these small but beautiful moments of togetherness in love that really make a family very special.
It's not an anniversary today it's a beautiful testament to love, faith, and family. As the day continued, my heart was full, knowing such moments were really what mattered most in life.
