What kind of mental illness is at play when people start fires in dry season? I'm not even burning contained campfires right now because jack pine and tamarack throw embers so easily. There's been a fair bit of brush pile building, but burning is out of the question even after yesterday's rain!
Speaking of which, I spent some time yesterday evening sitting on the deck under the roof just watching the weather. It was nice. Only a few bolts of lightning cracked beneath the lowest clouds. Most seemed like they were somewhere higher up with bursts of diffused light. Thunder rumbled everywhere, and there were at least three distinct downpours with pauses between.
I don't even know JT, and to do it again after being talked to, it's like willful stupidity.
The rain was nice, and I am truly enjoying the cooler weather today after roasting at the fairgrounds all week. The animals are especially happy! Glad you got to enjoy the Nature show!
