Friday, January 3, 2025 | Today is my scheduled first return to office day for the year. Over the holiday, my body clock was messed up as I've been sleeping and waking up late so early clock in at the office was a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, I arrived just in time.
As soon as I arrived, I made myself a cup of coffee and started doing my tasks. Work was piled up over the holiday so we have to render extra hours. I used to fantasize working in a corporate office, with a desk set up, a cup of coffee at the side, and thinking its all glamorous and aesthetic.
However, it's not always the case in reality. There are days I get nervous because of meetings, or catching up deadlines. But we can always try our best.
In the afternoon, I went for a short trip to the grocery for a mental break. My officemate bought some bread in the bakery while i search for snacks inside the grocery.
Coincidentally, there's a huge sale for New Zealand products in the Sale section. My favorite, and probably their biggest discount, is the free mug for every purchase of a pack of Starbucks coffee powder. New Zealand is a country known for their fresh cows milk and chocolates. Or is it just my impression?
After getting our goods, we went back to the office riding a golf cart since it was a bit late already. I ate my chips and went back to work.
Also, I finally got the name of the water dragon statue outside our office. Its The Bearer of Infinite Things by James Doran-Webb.
I'm just glad its Friday and weekend in coming.
