Going out stresses me out because I'm an indoor person who truly dislikes leaving my comfort zone. I get a headache every time I go out 😩.
Let me tell you about my experience in the market today. I've always done my shopping online; all I have to do is make an online bank transfer, get my items, and we're good to go—no worries, no stress, and of course no need to leave the house.
Most people have this notion of being cheated when you shop in a mall or online; they feel you don't get what you ordered. I got convinced by a friend to go to the main market in my city on the special market day, where you get goods way cheaper than usual.
I decided to go shopping in the market. On arrival at the market, the crowd I saw was so large, we're literally pushing each other; you come in contact with different sweaty people, oh noo😩
That was the genesis of my misery—is it the scrunchy sun or the tension of strolling from one shop to the other looking for what I want to buy? At some point I missed my way. I had to ask for directions from a dealer. The harsh response I got from the trader was so terrible ☹️☹️.

When I finally saw something I really liked, I asked the price and even tried to haggle over it. The woman trader began to insult me, even taking the items from me and saying she wasn't interested in selling them to me. I was shocked and thought, "What was my offense for bargaining?" I only asked for a small discount, and the woman insulted me further. I apologized to her and quietly kept the items, but I wasn't sure if she really wanted to sell them.
In order to avoid being lost again, I kept scouting and trying to find my route. As I was going, I noticed people fighting and arguing, and one of them even sobbing because her money had been stolen. At that moment, I decided it was time to return home before my money was stolen.
With my legs so filthy and covered in mud, I hurried to the market's exit while clutching my purse tightly as if my life were in it. I told myself that I would never again go there and would instead stick to my simple shopping routine.
