MY WALKING DAYS ENG/SPA

Hello Daily Blog community, this is the first time I have written here, I hope the first of many! I had not written for a long time because migration and the changes in my life took me a little away from this digital sharing, but I have resumed this beautiful habit of writing and I want to tell you about an activity that I am passionate about, such as outdoor walks and the healing power it has in me.

For some years, approximately since 2013, I started with these daily walks as a result of a double fracture that I have in my right foot of the tibia and fibula, and as part of my recovery, my therapist recommended this activity that was not high impact for my foot, but at the same time it would help me deal with the constant pain of the joint and readapt the mobility of my foot.

The fact is that I started doing them twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon before coming in and after leaving work, and little by little I got used to them, the inexplicable energy for me, after walking began to give me a unique joy to start my day, I know that doctors and specialists have said that about how daily exercise helps improve the mood, but knowing it and experiencing it was a more than pleasant surprise for me.

Since I started these almost daily walks until today, almost 12 years have passed, and my taste for them has not diminished for a moment, that feeling of freedom of well-being and joy has not diminished! They have become absolutely necessary for my life, and I try to do them at least 6 days a week in case I cannot do the 7, they are for me a happy place to which I return daily, and which has allowed me to have not only well-being in my mental health and Spiritually, it has also shown me physically what our body is capable of doing if we know how to take care of it properly. Thanks to this activity, I went from being in a wheelchair for 6 months without being able to walk, to participating last year in my first 6k race, and this year I hope to do the 10k race. For me this is a fortune that today I am able to value and see, although due to the fracture I cannot run properly, and being able to do all this is more than a reward for me.

It is also a perfect time to connect with nature, the trees, the squirrels, the people you meet and who become habitual in your daily life, connect with the sensation of the sun on your skin, and feel how the new day brings so many new and familiar things to experience.

I recommend that you try this activity, which is relatively easy to do, and each of us has our own rhythms and times. I suggest that you start little by little and then make this a healthy habit, with your own scheme. I don't think it is something that requires so much effort. I invite you to connect with all the positivity that I feel, and that well-being of doing something for our benefit and also connecting with the world around us. !!!

(SPANISH VERSION) MIS DIAS DE CAMINATAS

Hola comunidad de Daily Blog es primera vez que escribo por aca, espero la primera de muchas!, tenia mucho tiempo sin escribir porque la migracion y los cambios en mi vida, me alejaron un poco de este compartir digital, pero he retomado este bonito habito de escribir y quiero contarles de una actividad que me apasiona, como son las caminatas al aire libre y el poder sanador que tiene en mi.

Desde hace algunos años aproximadamente desde el 2013, empece con estas caminatas diarias a raiz de una doble fractura que tengo en el pie derecho de tibia y perone, y como parte de mi recuperacion, mi terapista me recomendo esta actividad que no era de alto impacto para mi pie, pero a la vez me ayudaria a lidar con el dolor constante de la articulacion y a la readaptacion de la movilidad de mi pie.

El caso es que empece a hacerlas dos veces al dia, en la mañana y en la tarde antes de entrar y despues de salir de mi trabajo, y poco a poco fui acostumbrándome a ellas, la energia inexplicable para mi, luego de caminar empezo a darme una alegria unica para comenzar mi dia, se que eso lo han dichos medicos y especialistas de como el ejercicio diario ayuda a mejorar el estado de animo, pero de saberlo a experimentarlo fue una sorpresa mas que grata para mi.

Desde que comence estas caminatas casi diarias hasta el dia de hoy, han pasado casi 12 años, y mi gusto por ellas no ha decaido ni un momento, esa sensacion de libertad de bienestar y de alegria, no ha bajado!, se han vuelto absolutamente necesarias para mi vida, y trato de hacerlas al menos 6 dias a la semana en caso de que no pueda los 7, son para mi un lugar feliz al que regreso a diario, y que me ha permitido tener no solo bienestar en mi salud mental y espiritual, tambien fisicamente me ha mostrado lo que nuestro cuerpo es capaz de hacer si sabemos cuidarlo apropiadamente, gracias a esta actividad pase de estar 6 meses en silla de ruedas sin poder caminar, a participar el año pasado en mi primera carrera de 6k, y este año espero hacer la de 10k, para mi esto es una fortuna que hoy soy capaz de valorar y ver, aunque por la fractura no puedo correr propiamente, ya poder hacer todo esto es mas que una recompensa para mi.

Tambien es un momento perfecto para conectar con al naturaleza, los arboles, las ardillas, la gente que se cruza y que se hacen habituales en tu dia a dia, conectar con la sensación del sol en la piel, y sentir como el dia nuevo trae tantas cosas nuevas y sabidas por vivir .

Yo les recomiendo que prueben esta actividad que es relativamente facil de hacer, y cada uno de nosotros tenemos nuestro propio ritmos y tiempos, sugiero que empiecen de a poco y luego vayan haciendo de esta un habito saludable, con su propio esquema, no es algo creo yo, que requiera tanto esfuerzo, les invito a conectar con toda positividad que yo siento, y ese bienestar de estar haciendo algo en nuestro beneficio y ademas conectamos con el mundo que nos rodea. !!!
