The weather has been so bad lately. It keeps raining, and it’s sooo cold that I just want to stay in bed all day. Yesterday, I woke up at 5 AM to get ready for school, but the rain was heavy, and the wind was strong. I really hoped classes would be suspended (I mean, who wants to go to school if the weather is like that??), so my mom told me to wait until 6 AM to check for an announcement. Since I was still sleepy, I went back to bed for a while.
At 6 AM, my alarm rang again, and there was still no announcement! So I had no choice but to take a bath (and trust me, the water was freezing!). I changed into my uniform and was about to eat breakfast when my phone suddenly dinged, it was a message from my adviser saying classes were suspended! I was so happy that I quickly changed back into my pajamas and jumped back into bed. I didn’t eat breakfast because I don’t like eating too early in the morning (I ate around 9 AM).
A few hours later, my mom woke me up around 8 AM and told me she wanted to buy groceries at the mall. Since I had no class, she asked me to go with her, so here’s a little grocery bonding time with my mom! 💕
Even though it was still raining, we went to Bogo in the afternoon. My mom first stopped at the Bogo Municipal Hall to get her PSA papers. After that, we went to Jollibee to eat lunch. We both ordered fried chicken with rice and Coke Float, perfect for a cold, rainy day! But we had to wait 20-30 minutes for our food because there were only a few crew members working.
After lunch, we went straight to Metro to buy groceries. My mom bought vegetables (because we love eating veggies), snacks for my younger brother, and a lot of other things. I even took a picture of my mom while shopping, when I told her it was for my blog, she just laughed HAHAHAHAHA. (Honestly, I’m running out of content, so this trip was perfect HAHAHA)
We finished shopping at 4 PM and got home by 5 PM. I’m really thankful to God for keeping us safe during the trip. Even though the day didn’t go as planned, I still had fun. Rainy days may feel lazy and cold, but simple moments like these make them warm and special.
