Today's event was simply amazing! I had a fun-filled day with my fellow mom here in Lagos City. Prior to this day, I was skeptical about paying for this party as I joined this women's organization new and haven't made many friends yet. So I thought it was going to be boring for me, but on second thought, I told myself that this event is even an opportunity for me to get to know most of our members more and keep bonding with each other.
I think I made the right decision in getting involved with the party because the outcome was quite amazing. It's a Christmas party for us women in our church. Since two months ago, the preparation began, and today is the D-Day, designed for lots of fun activities for mothers.
What a way to relieve myself of stress today and trash lots of my worries as we kept playing different games, winning recharge credit alongside many dance sessions that came with some kitchen utensils as a gift, but then, I am not a great dancer to win any of the gifts😍. The party began at 2 pm with light music by the DJ. I simply love the environment and couldn't stop taking shots as many as I can.
There were lots of different dishes prepared for this event. We started by taking light food, though native but simply unique.
After which, we had sweet potatoes and sauce with fish, and while we were eating and kept mingling with each other, quizzes were ongoing, and once anyone answered the question correctly, you won recharge cards instantly. How sweet and fun the experience was.
It wasn't difficult for me to socialize with these women even though I am new in their midst, maybe because of my extroverted nature, lol. In the process of mingling with each other through dance and discussions, I made two friends already.
That's not the catch; the party made me feel so much more excited, especially dancing to one of my favorite songs. I was so happy to the point that I didn't want the party to end so soon, but it was quite memorable. Everyone got taken away food and drinks while going home.
It was a fun day filled with laughter, catching up, and lots of social interactions.
The Christmas season is all about celebration 🎊 🎉. Already, I have received many invitations about some events in my hometown, both cultural events and other social gatherings, and I am all pumped up to witness many fun activities this period as I plan to travel this week for the yuletide celebration.
Today's event happened to be the only Christmas party I will be attending here in Lagos City, but more are lined up in my hometown waiting for my arrival, hehehe. I hope to share my experience with you as we progress, hoping to have more of a nice experience before the coming year.
