Here, we dive into "A day in a Theater Play", where we are required to watch last February 29, 2024, 4pm to 5pm at West Negros State University, entitled
"Ang Tiririt ng Ibong Adarna" . All the students are participated in this show. From traveling to the venue had a lot of fun even though the weather was very hot. When we got there, we were met by hundreds of students who also participated from different schools in Negros Occidental, Philippines including the Elementary Schools.

"Ang Tiririt ng Ibong Adarna" is based on a story titled "Ibong Adarna". But before that, I'll tell you what it is the story of Ibong Adarna is.

"Ibong Adarna" is a Filipino epic that tells the story of three princes Don Pedro, Don Diego, and Don Juan who embark on a quest to find the mythical bird, Ibong Adarna, whose enchanting song has the power to heal their father, King Fernando. Along their journey, they encounter various challenges, magical creatures, and trials. At the end, Don Juan, the youngest prince, who successfully captures the Ibong Adarna and brings it back to cure his father. The tale is a classic example of Filipino folklore, highlighting themes of courage, perseverance, and the triumph of good over evil.

But in the Theatrical Play that we watch they put some plot twist where they use some modern music and background to deliver their performance. They also change the theme of the story where they include the "Gender Equality" or "Gender Stereotyping" in their story.

So, "Ang Tiririt ng Ibong Adarna" is a story of the mystical kingdom of Yonopabwa, where a King named Fedelio and his two children named Prince Anton and Princess Mina lived.

A royal decree proclaimed that only the enchanting song of the legendary Ibong Adarna could cure him. The two children was determined to save their father,Prince Anton and Princess Mina embarked on a perilous quest to find the elusive bird. But, Prince Anton did not allow his sister to go with him because it was dangerous and he could not fight, Prince Anton underestimate her sister ability because the girl was just at home doing housework and can't go in a fight, Prince Anton said.

3 months later, Prince Anton didn't came back, that's why King Fedelio and Princess Mina was worried on what happened to him. Then Princess Mina decided to go and find her brother and find the Ibong Adarna, even though she is a Girl/Woman or Lady she tried to help her father and brother.

After many trials and tribulations, she finally reached the said place, where the Ibong Adarna resided, and she saw his brother became a stone and she help his brother to return to normal person. As night fell, the magnificent bird perched on a golden tree and began to sing its mesmerizing song.

In the Theater Play, the real message of the story is "Every woman can do what men do, every men can do what woman do." We can do anything but in a good way because we have the right and no one can stop us on what we are doing. Each of us had the right to do, as long as you didn't underestimate anyone's.
