HANGING OUT IN THE YOUTH SQUARE [ENG/ESP]
Hello HIVE, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying lots of good vibes.
Hola HIVE espero que todos se encuentren muy bien disfrutando de abundantes buenas vibras.
This last week when I leave class at 5pm and most of the people I spend my time talking to have already left the university, since it is a time when the bus terminals are full, in order to avoid having to wait in line where the buses that take me to where I live leave, I prefer to go to the "Youth Square" located in the Bellas Artes area in the city of Caracas, Venezuela; this plaza was inaugurated a few months ago and is in a very central and busy place, that's why it fills with life and activities daily, to me it seems like an interesting space to spend time until it's 7pm when the bus terminals empty out a bit. This week I have been there several times and I have been able to appreciate the whole microcosm that has been generated within the plaza. There are dance therapies on one side, many young people doing sports, riding bicycles and hanging out playing with each other, some bring their pets, there are cultural activities (that same day I took those photos, a flute group was performing) they set up a small platform with a microphone and musical instruments; there is a group of people responsible for keeping the plaza clean and at certain times of the afternoon when the sun begins to set, they set up several ping pong and foosball tables for the enjoyment of the plaza's visitors. Something very interesting is really being generated in that plaza. Every time I am there in my meditation, I am analyzing and structuring some possibilities to approach the space with artistic activities to generate a small movement with art in that place, but for now I will continue enjoying the atmosphere that is being generated in the youth plaza.
Esta última semana cuando salgo de clases a las 5 de la tarde y la mayoría de las personas con las que me la paso hablando ya se han retirado de la universidad, como es un horario en el que los terminales de buses están full, para no irme a hacer cola donde salen los buses que me llevan a el lugar donde vivo, prefiero ir para la "plaza de la Juventud" ubicada en la zona de bellas artes en la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela; esta plaza fue inaugurada hace unos pocos meses y está en un lugar muy céntrico y transcurrido, por eso se llena de vida y actividades diariamente, a mí se me hace un espacio interesante para pasar el rato hasta que sean las 7 de la noche que es cuando los terminales de buses se vacían un poco. Esta semana he ido varias veces y he podido apreciar todo el microcosmos que se ha estado generando dentro de la plaza, hay bailo terapias por un lado, muchos jóvenes haciendo deportes, manejando bicicleta y pasando el rato jugando entre ellos, algunos traen a sus mascotas, hay actividades culturales (ese mismo día que tome esas fotografías, se estaban presentando un grupo musical de flautas) armaron una pequeña tarima con micrófono e instrumentos musicales; hay un grupo de personas responsables de mantener la plaza limpia y a ciertas horas de la tarde cuando el sol se empieza a ocultar, habilitan varias mesas de ping pong y futbol de mesa para el disfrute de los visitantes de la plaza. De verdad se está generando algo muy interesante en esa plaza, cada vez que estoy allí en mi meditación, voy analizando y estructurando algunas posibilidades para abordar el espacio con actividades artísticas para generar un pequeño movimiento con el arte en ese lugar, pero por ahora seguiré disfrutando del ambiente que se está generando en la plaza de la juventud.
