Good day, amazing friends! It's @rufajane, your friend who shares the same interests as you. I'm back with another blog post this week. Enjoy reading.....

Future? Ugh, this word again. I find it very hard to answer when someone asks me about my future, like, what am I supposed to answer When I was in elementary school, I immediately replied that I wanted to be a TEACHER someday when asked what course I would pursue. Yes, perhaps it's because my mother is also a teacher. So I truly loved her commitment to teaching others. "I want to be like her. I wish to instill good morals in the kids. I want to teach children what is correct." This is always my answer whenever someone asks me why I want to become a teacher. Until I was in grade 10, teaching was my chosen course, and I even chose it during our career guidance.

But still...
I got confused about what I wanted to be when I grew up. It's quite difficult for me to choose. However, when I was in senior high, I changed my mind. I do not want to be a teacher anymore. Because I want to be a LAWYER. What a significant change, right? My father enjoys watching Senate debates and has studied law (although on his own). So that is why I aspire to become one. "I want to help others find justice. I want to deal with injustices. I want to stop the corruption." haha hilarious, right? But, believe me, it's true. My love for law keeps growing day by day, and I still imagine myself as a lawyer someday. Some people claim that being a lawyer was a natural fit for me because I excel at public speaking. Some have suggested that I employ my public speaking skills as a teacher. So I became confused between the two.

But then things change...
I've gotten a lot more practical. I believe that being a lawyer takes more time than being a teacher. There are numerous advantages to taking education classes. Since I reached senior high, all I've wanted to do was get practical professional employment. So, from teacher to lawyer, then back to teacher. I was quite uncertain about my future.

My father crafted this Gavel for me

I worry so much about my future that I frequently ask myself, "What is my life's purpose? Indeed, the terms "Future" and "Purpose" had just a passing connection in my mind. There is a purpose when there is a future; otherwise, there is no purpose. Isn't that confusing? However, my mind is constantly busy and confused.

My lovely and supportive parents

So I renew my aspiration to become a teacher while also pursuing a career as a professional writer. Consequently, I have concentrated on enhancing my writing skills. Since my introduction to Hive, I have written daily, challenging myself to manage my time effectively despite my commitments as a student. Additionally, I find inspiration and motivation in reading quotes that propel me forward.

“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder” — Rumi

I originally came across this quote while I was in junior high. It was the occasion when I joined an extemporaneous contest. It was my first time, so I was understandably scared. When I told my teacher about my feelings, she read me this quote. She stated that you do not have to say your views loudly in front of the audience to capture the judges' hearts; rather, it is your words that will do. And it hits me. I realize how much effort I have put into becoming a competent public speaker, but I was unable to determine the simplest way to do it.

So why do I tell you about this?
Because it is related to the future I am talking about. Finding a job that is appropriate for you wasn't easy but it's not the hardest part. The hardest part of being a human is that there are cases in which we can encounter different people with different personalities in the future regardless of our jobs. Instead of being caught up with them, we should learn to develop a strong personality and stand without raising our voices.

So FUTURE? or PURPOSE?

In life, choosing which path to take is one of the hardest parts. It's as if you are confused about choosing your fate and lifetime situation. But with what we do in the present, it affects our future.

I have come to realize that choosing careers is not the issue here. What I'm trying to say is that no matter what, we are created to do what makes us happy, including choosing a career path. We find a job that we will love, but at the end of the day, it is just a JOB. We are so bothered with overthinking about our future, and there is nothing wrong with that.

But the idea that it overpowers every aspect of our lives is somewhat disturbing. It matters in our perspectives and is purely subjective. But there might be an underlying factor in this problem. Whatever the case, just hold what you believe is right for you in the future because, in the end, it is you who works for that job.

Me as a challenge acceptor during our career guidance

As for me, I have learned that there are some times when life can be confusing and contradicting. And I choose to follow my heart in this case (but not all the time). Because to enjoy the job I have found, I must learn to love it first. So if you ask me again “What is my purpose in life?”. I would say.... “to find a job that makes me happy and to serve others well, including God.”

Stay focused @rufajane! You're making great progress towards your Hive goals.

Hello @rufajane! Just follow your heart desires and ask guidance from almighty father to guide you in choosing the best decision in life. On the the other hand, you can pursue being a lawyer while working as a teacher. As long as as we are still alive alert and kicking there's always hope for everything.

Thank you so much, ma'am! Your words are truly encouraging and insightful. I appreciate your advice to follow my heart and seek guidance. The idea of pursuing law while teaching is something I'll definitely consider. Your positive outlook is inspiring. 😀

Keep striving, ruff!!

Thank you Ronasyl

"extemporaneous" Ty mam di ko alam ang word na ito ngayon alam ko na 😅. Marami na akong napasukan na trabaho ang gusto ko marami akong natututunan tapos iba nanaman. Non stop process para sa akin the end goal is to have freedom.

Hello @dantrin good to have you here. Anyways, just follow your heart for as long as it's not bad for you and for those people you love.

Lovin' ur thoughts. You really value your future. I admire that kind of mindset. Keep on your reaching your dreams dear by God's grace.🙏🏽♥️

Your kind words are much appreciated. Thank you so much.

The future really scares us sometimes, but as long as we are showing up, I know that we will get there. ❤️

Yes you're right, I couldn't agree more with you.

Just follow your heart and where your passion takes you. I'm in my fourth year of college now, and I tell you, I still get confused about what my true calling in life is. I often think about shifting and choosing another degree, but it's too late for that, right? Still, life is not a race. If one can afford to pursue a second degree, then no one can stop them from chasing that alternate future they thought they wouldn't be able to achieve in the same lifetime. Just like how my High School teacher persevere to study law while teaching us, and now she's an attorney working for PAO.

Yes you're right. We need to be happy with what we do to be able to enjoy the job we have.

Never give up and do what your heart tells you! You can do it!!!

You are absolutely right in saying that we need extraordinary happiness, because it is not the Careerthat makes us happy but the atmosphere that makes us happy is what is more important.

Yes. It's so true that a fulfilling life isn't solely defined by career success. The environment we create for ourselves such as the relationships we nurture, the passions we pursue, and the sense of purpose we cultivate are the true architects of happiness. A thriving career can certainly contribute, but it's the overall atmosphere of joy and contentment that truly matters. Thank you for your support.

It's really touching to hear that, thank you for giving me a little advice to enjoy, And this is a lesson for me too, with the experience you have given, Have a nice day, and this is very useful for me to add to my experience too, after I saw it from the Hindu people around me, and it is true what you are talking about. That happiness is not seen from career, but with the joy that becomes the pleasure of living the days ❤️

Do what makes you happy!☺️

Hello @johntheroamer thank you for your support
