A fun day out.

Good day hivers, I welcome you all to my blog.

I had a fabulous time during the weekend and that is what I will be sharing with you all in today's blog.

On Saturday, I and my sister prepared to attend the wedding ceremony of out bosom friend. That girl has long since been engaged and so it was a thing of joy to be celebrating her wedding ceremony with her. I had to make my dress myself as I procrastinated and the deadline was close. To avoid any delay from my tailor, I grabbed the bull by the horn and made my dress myself. I was exhausted but the final result was worth it, after all, weddings are for slaying😁.

I was woken up by my lovely sister that morning, since she is an early bird. Not wanting to miss out on the fun, I had to start prepping myself for the wedding. After all the necessary bathroom stuff had been taken care off, it was time for the glamour. I didn't make myself look too glamorous as I did not intend to steal the groom, hehe but I was on point withy looks.

After all the fuss of getting ready, we ordered an Uber which came to take is to our destination. The wedding was held at a beautiful location within my community. My friend held her wedding at a very luxurious hotel at Aradagun, very close to Whispering Palms Resort. The whole ambience of the venue was so colourful and lovely that I couldn't help taking some shots.

The wedding party commenced after the settling of her bride price in house with both family representatives. Then she was led out In her bridal apparel, looking all dolled up for her man. Watching her make her entrance along with her ladies in waiting down the aisle, I almost wished to be getting married at that time. ”Why are brides so beautiful on their wedding day? “

After all the exchange of vows and all what not's, it was reception time and fortunately it was held at the same venue. We simply needed to rearrange the seating arrangements and that was done speedily while everyone was taking pictures with the new couple. The reception went underway and finally it was time for ”menu, menu menu!!!”

Food was served and the merriment continued well into the night. There was lots to eat and deink as expected of a Western Nigerian's party. If you ecer attend a Yoruba party and tou didn't see enough foo, then that party os not a Yoruba party. For those who like to party all night.

I left the wedding venue at about 7:30pm with the souvenirs I received. I got home but was too tired to do anything. I couldn't even cook. Luckily I had some party jollof rice from the wedding and that was what I ate as my dinner before going to bed.

That was how I spent the whole of my Saturday and I enjoyed every bit of it.

Thank you all for reading.

Images were taken by me at the wedding venue.
