Greetings everyone, I am delighted to once again share with everyone in this community yet another exciting post of mine. I hope we are all doing well and hoping for the best in life. No matter the situation we find ourselves in let’s have hope for a positive future and outcome.
Today, I will like to share with everyone a day in my life at the office
This is me at my desk in the office
I am currently a National Service Personnel at National Insurance Commission office here in Tamale. It is a great experience at the office here but also kind of normal since it is my area of study. When I say my area of study what I mean is that, I studied Actuarial Science which entails insurance and risk and for that matter the activities that go on in this office is mainly insurance stuff. I therefore don’t find anything new here apart from the protocols which are supposed to be observed at the cooperate world.

I do report to work at 7am in the morning which is sometimes very difficult to wake up because that is when the sleep becomes more interesting. But nevertheless I have to wake up because is compulsory. So I wake up an hour to my reporting time to get myself well prepared for work.
Upon arrival, I register myself present for work by signing into the attendance book and then take my seat at my desk. I turn on my computer and printer to make sure everything it set
Work, actually starts at 8am so it gives us more time to be ready for the days’ activities. When the day starts depending on the plan for the day, we do not have plenty work to do but just relax and go by plan. We receive complains from the general public but not a daily basis. Sometimes we can go a week without receiving a complaint but we still work.
Also, we do have various inspections at insurance companies since we are the regulators of the them. So we have the right to visit them anytime we want. We are also entitled to visit commercial buildings to check their insurance status and make sure they have it. These are many the works we carry out in our office. Sometimes the office becomes boring because we have no work doing and everyone is idle.

At my office, one thing I do enjoy about it is the fact that you are allowed to take permission to do any activity or go anywhere. Also, the various activities that we undertake at the work aren’t plenty enough so one won’t be able to forget it. I sometimes feel bored at work when I do not have bundle on my phone.

Yeah, waking up at 7 am is not always funny, but it depends on how many hours we have slept in the evening/night before.
But that is just great! I almost can't believe hahaha, you are a lucky one. It can't be done at my work...not that type of work it would be possible actually :D teachers can't leave the students during the lesson 😅
Sometimes even if after sleeping for several hours you still feel sleepy at the point where you are supposed to wake up from bed.
Yeah with a work involving students it will be impossible to leave them and go somewhere else.
My place of work has that freedom we do enjoy.

Lol the 6-7 am is priceless. It’s very difficult to sacrifice it for anything. That’s why I’m mostly excited about weekends, lol.
But anyway it’s good that the nss experience is able to shape you with some form of discipline. That’s a way good way to get ready for a permanent job. 👍🏿
