Today is Valentine's Day, and I was lucky enough to visit La Vecchia Spiaggia to explore its stunning surroundings. It’s been an amazing experience, and I’m so happy I got to spend this special day here.
La Vecchia Spiaggia is an Italian name, "Vecchia" means "old" and "Spiaggia" means "beach." The name adds to the place's timeless charm, making it feel like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend this day than soaking in its peaceful and serene beauty.
The road that leads to La Vecchia Spiaggia is lined with coconut trees on both sides, creating a beautiful and scenic path. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by La Vecchia Spiaggia's welcoming sign, which even had a heart symbol on it, making it feel extra special for Valentine's Day. The beauty of this place is amazing and it's the perfect spot to take pictures or selfies, whether you're with family or loved ones. The views here are simply breathtaking, offering a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by nature, it’s a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the scenery, and appreciate the tranquility.
They also have a hanging bridge that leads directly to the sea and the cottages. As I was walking towards the hanging bridge. I noticed a sign that said “Pls. take care". This was a reminder not only to be cautious while crossing the bridge but also to take care of ourselves in everything we do. It’s a simple yet meaningful message. As you can see, the view is absolutely stunning, especially when you see the wide river or "suba" that stretches out before you. The whole scene is breathtaking, adding to the peaceful and serene atmosphere of the place.
In the middle of the bridge, there is a sign that says "I DO". This makes it a perfect spot for couples who want to propose to their girlfriends or life partners. The setting is incredibly romantic, with the wide river or "suba", stretching out in the background. It creates a beautiful and memorable moment, adding to the magic of the proposal. The view enhances the experience, making it a truly special place to celebrate love.
The view here is truly stunning, this is the “suba” or river. The water is crystal clear and freezing cold, which makes it perfect for swimming. People of all ages, from children to adults, enjoy swimming here on hot days to cool off. Another interesting thing people do here is gather “bebe” or shells, from the river. These shells are not only beautiful but also delicious. Many locals use them in their meals, and there are plenty to collect, making it a fun and rewarding activity. The peaceful environment and clear water make this river a perfect spot for both relaxation and adventure.
It truly was the perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day here! Being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life was such a refreshing and peaceful experience. The calm surroundings, with the soothing sounds of the river and the beauty of nature, made it feel even more special. It was a chance to relax, reflect, and really appreciate the moment.
