Each day has both its challenges and interesting experience.
Just as we always strive to stay positive amidst possible daily challenges, the moments that makes each day interesting should also be acknowledged.
As a Property Manager, i always meet new people with different personalities each day, considering the nature of my work.
And among the people i get to meet, some of them are kind. I always try my best to be in good relationship with my clients even with the challenges associated with my work.
And today, a Tenant who live in one of the properties I manage came with a surprising, unexpected gift.
Here's the dialogue I had with the Tenant during a phone call conversation initiated by her:
TENANT: Hello Ugo...How are you doing?
ME: Good Day Ma'am. I'm fine, what about you?
TENANT: I'm fine too. You aren't at the office, I'm presently at your office and I'm waiting for you.
ME: Oh! I'm not around and I'm a bit far from the office. Can you wait for me?
TENANT: Sure, I will. I'm waiting.
She waited till I arrived at the office just to meet a surprising gift from her. She gave me some stuffs and appreciated my gestures as well.
This is used in preparing African salad here in Nigeria and trust me, it's very nice when prepared 😄
Surprised by the unexpected gift, I was lost for words. I thanked her and showed gratitude for her kind gestures too.
Indeed, kind gestures no matter how small tend to have great impact on others. The gesture she displayed is as a result of her gratitude towards the kind gestures she received; which motivated her to think of something to use in appreciation even when I didn't expect such.
In human relationship, it's important to show kindness to others and never use a position of authority to intimidate others.
And yes, the positive impact we make on others can also add to the joy they experience for the day.
